So, the other day, I decided to get a bit active and organized a friendly game of volleyball with some friends. It wasn’t anything super serious, just a fun way to spend a sunny afternoon.

First things first, I rounded up the crew. I hit up my usual group chat, tossed out the idea, and thankfully, got a good response. We ended up with about ten people, perfect for two teams of five.
Finding a Spot
Next up was finding a place to play. We’re lucky enough to have a park nearby with a decent net already set up. I called the parks department a couple of days earlier, just to make sure it was free and, sure enough, it was all ours.
Setting Up
Once we all got to the park, we spent a little time getting things ready. I had packed a volleyball (of course!), some water bottles, and some snacks, because, you know, priorities. I even brought some extra sunscreen, just in case. I checked the net, and everything was ok.
Game Time!
We divided ourselves into teams, trying to keep things relatively balanced – no stacking one side with all the “pros” (we’re all pretty amateur, to be honest). Then, we just started playing!
It was a blast! There were some epic rallies, some hilarious misses, and a lot of laughs. We weren’t keeping score super strictly, but we were definitely trying to win. It was more about having fun and getting some exercise than anything else.
Post-Game Chill
After a couple of hours, we were all pretty wiped. We gathered our stuff, chatted for a bit, and made plans to do it again soon. Everyone seemed to have a great time, which was the whole point.

Overall, it was a super successful day. Nothing fancy, just good old-fashioned fun with friends. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a simple way to get outside and be active!
