Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about “acai sport” lately, and how it’s supposed to be some kind of super-boost for workouts. I figured, why not give it a shot? I’m always up for trying new things, especially if it might help me feel more energized during my runs.

My Acai Sport Experiment
First, I went online and did some quick looking around. Basically, I was trying to figure out what acai sport even is. Turns out, it’s not just plain acai – it’s usually a mix, with other stuff added, like guarana, sometimes even some electrolytes. Sounded promising enough.
Then, I went to a couple of local health food stores. Most of them had some form of acai, but not specifically “acai sport.” I finally found one that had a few different brands. I grabbed one that looked decent – not too much added sugar, which is something I always try to avoid.
- Pre-Workout: I mixed the acai sport powder with some water, according to the instructions. It tasted pretty good, kind of like a berry smoothie. I drank it about 30 minutes before my usual evening run.
- The Run: To be honest, I didn’t feel a HUGE difference right away. But about halfway through my usual route, I did notice I wasn’t feeling as tired as I normally do. I pushed myself a little harder and managed to run a bit further than usual.
- Post-Workout: I definitely felt less wiped out than I sometimes do. Usually, I just want to collapse on the couch, but I actually had enough energy to do some stretching and even tidy up a bit.
I’ve kept using it for a couple of weeks now, and I think it’s making a bit of a difference. I’m not saying it’s a miracle worker, but I do feel like I have a bit more stamina, and I’m recovering a little faster. I’ve even started playing around with adding it to my post-workout smoothies, with some protein powder and fruit. Seems to be working out pretty well!
It is not a bad thing, if you were thinking to give it a shot, I suggest you to try it!
