I wanted to check out some football games the other day, so I went online to see what was happening with the Avon Football Association. Turns out, their senior men’s league has some games coming up soon.

I looked up the schedules and results on their site. They’ve got this thing called GameDay where you can see all the fixtures, results, ladders, statistics, and news. Pretty neat, right? I saw that Avon’s team is the defending champion in Division II, Region 6. Sounds like they’re a big deal!
Getting Ready for the Game
I read that they had a game on August 23rd, and it sounded like they were really getting ready for it. The article I found said they had a strong start in a recent game, leading 21-0 in the first quarter. I guess they really know how to dominate early on. They mentioned something about tradition and not graduating, so I guess they have a good history.
Checking Out Other Teams
I also noticed there was a game between Cincinnati Anderson and Avon high school teams. It was apparently an OHSAA state championship game. The website had live updates on how that game went. I didn’t follow it closely, but it looked like a big event.
- Browsed GameDay for fixtures and results
- Learned about Avon’s championship status
- Read about their preparation for the August 23rd game
- Noticed the OHSAA state championship game between Anderson and Avon
So yeah, that’s what I found out about Avon football. Seems like they’re a pretty serious team with a lot going on. I might try to catch one of their games sometime. It would be cool to see them play live, especially since they’re the defending champions. I didn’t dig too deep into the stats and all that, but just getting a general idea of what’s happening with the team was pretty interesting.
