Let me tell you about this little adventure I had the other day. So, I’m really into fishing, right? And I heard a lot of buzz about this lure called “Sapito” from Marine Sports. People were saying it’s the bomb for catching those big, feisty traira fish. I thought, “Alright, let’s put this thing to the test!”
First thing I did was grab my trusty Albatroz carbon rod. I decided to switch out the original hook that comes with the Sapito. It’s a common practice, as many of us already know. And I rigged it up. I was pumped, ready to see what this Sapito could do. Then I take the new hooks on it. It’s really strong.
I headed out to my favorite fishing spot, a nice little lake with plenty of vegetation and those underwater structures that fish love to hide around. The Sapito is designed to be a surface lure, a “popper” as they call it. It’s supposed to make these enticing splashes that drive the traira wild.
- Casting: I started casting the Sapito near the edges of the lily pads and over some floating grass. This thing is pretty much weedless, so I wasn’t worried about getting snagged. I was tossing it out there with confidence, just like the folks said I could.
- Retrieving: I started working the lure, giving it these short, sharp jerks to make it pop and splash on the surface.
I kept at it, experimenting with different retrieve speeds, different rhythms. Then, BAM! I got my first bite. It wasn’t a monster, but it was a feisty little traira, and it put up a good fight. The Sapito had done its job! I had a few more bites after that, and landed a couple more fish. It wasn’t a record-breaking day, but it was definitely a success.
My Thoughts
The Sapito lure from Marine Sports is a winner in my book. It’s well-designed, it casts like a dream, and it definitely attracts the fish. If you’re after traira, this is one lure you gotta have in your tackle box. It’s not magic, you still gotta put in the work, but it sure does make things a whole lot more fun. I’m already planning my next trip out with the Sapito.
