So, I was digging around the internet today, trying to figure out some football stuff, specifically about penalties. You know how it goes, you see these short forms and abbreviations all over the place, and sometimes it’s like, “What the heck does that even mean?”

I started by just typing “football penalty abbreviation” into the search bar. The first few results were kinda all over the place, talking about all sorts of random abbreviations, nothing specific to what I was looking for. I mean, I saw things like “B.E.” and a bunch of other stuff that I didn’t really care about.
But then I stumbled upon this website, I think it is a kind of tutorial for coding. It looks good! There are tons of example codes in there. This is probably what I will use next time. Then I started seeing things that looked a bit more relevant.
- Monetary fine – Okay, that makes sense, a fine for breaking the rules.
- Public service – Alright, that’s another possibility.
- Replacement of property – Yeah, if someone messes something up, they gotta fix it.
And then there was stuff about imprisonment, which, thankfully, isn’t too common in regular football games! I also found out about this thing called a “transaction code” which, is used to modify some user’s profile. I’m not sure if it is relevant but I will note it down first.
I kept scrolling and reading, trying to piece things together. It felt like a bit of a maze, to be honest. One minute I’m reading about fines, the next I’m reading some coding examples.
The Summary of Today’s Work
So after all that, I feel like I have a better understanding of what’s going on with penalties in football. It’s not just about getting a yellow or red card, there are all these other things that can happen. It was a bit of a roundabout way to get there, but hey, that’s the internet for you! One minute you’re searching for one thing, and the next you’re down some rabbit hole reading about transaction codes. Anyway, I figured I’d share my little adventure in case anyone else is curious about this stuff.
