Alright, so I stumbled upon this thing called the “Wendover Entertainment Calendar” the other day, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a rabbit hole. I thought, “Why not give this a shot and see what the fuss is about?” So, I decided to make one myself.
Getting Started
First off, I had no clue what I was doing. I mean, a calendar, sure, but this one’s got all these fancy boxes and stuff. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, you know, the old-fashioned way. I started sketching out the basic grid. You know, seven columns for the days of the week and a bunch of rows for the weeks.
Drawing The Grid
Drawing the lines was a bit of a pain. I wanted it to look neat, so I used a ruler. I drew each column and row, making sure they were more or less evenly spaced. It wasn’t perfect, but hey, it’s handmade. It ended up looking like one of those spreadsheets, but on paper.
Adding the Dates
Next up, I started filling in the dates. I had to double-check a regular calendar for this, just to make sure I didn’t mess up the days. Carefully, I wrote down each date in its little box, starting with the first of the month. This part was kind of relaxing, just filling in numbers one by one.
Wendover’s Special Boxes
Now, here’s where it gets interesting. The Wendover calendar has these special boxes for marking certain events or days. I decided to make my own version. I picked a few different colored pens – red for important stuff, blue for things I was looking forward to, and green for, well, I don’t know, just because.
- Red Boxes: I used red for deadlines and appointments. Things I absolutely couldn’t forget.
- Blue Boxes: Blue was for fun stuff – like if I planned to watch a movie or hang out with friends.
- Green Boxes: Green was kind of random. Maybe for days when I planned to try something new.
Filling It In
So, I started marking up my calendar. A red box here for a work deadline, a blue one there for a friend’s birthday, and a green one just for kicks on a random Saturday. It started to look pretty colorful and, dare I say, organized.
The Final Touch
After I was done filling it in, I stepped back to look at it. Not bad, not bad at all. It was a bit messy, with lines not perfectly straight and some ink smudges here and there, but it was mine. I stuck it up on my wall with some tape. Now, every time I look at it, I get this little sense of accomplishment. It’s like, “Yeah, I made that.”
So, that’s my little adventure with making a Wendover Entertainment Calendar. It wasn’t just about organizing my days; it was also a fun little project. And hey, who knows, maybe I’ll keep doing this. It’s kind of therapeutic, in a way.
