Okay, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with this Smith Entertainment Group, right? They’re like the big shots in Utah now, owning the Jazz and all that. I figured they must have some cool jobs going, so I decided to do some digging.

First, I checked out their website. Looked simple, but they’ve got a careers section.
I clicked on that “Careers” button and it took me to a page with a bunch of listings. They had everything from accounting to event staff. I scrolled through, looking for something that seemed interesting, you know, not your everyday boring office stuff. There were many open positions for working with their hockey team too.
I saw a few things that caught my eye, like working in marketing or maybe something with the teams directly. It seems interesting to me. They also want a few social media guys.
I then started checking out some employee reviews on those job sites. Wanted to see what people really thought about working there. Some folks were pretty happy, talking about good benefits and a fun atmosphere. Others had some complaints, mostly about long hours, especially during game days. It sounds like hard work, man. You get to watch games, though, so that’s a plus, right?
After spending a good chunk of time, I realized it’s not as easy as just sending in a resume. These places get tons of applications. You gotta make yours stand out. I am not sure if I am gonna apply, I will think about it.
Anyway, that’s what I found out about Smith Entertainment Group jobs. Seems like a cool place to work if you’re into sports and all that, but it’s definitely not a walk in the park. You gotta be ready to hustle, for sure. Maybe I should really try to learn more about the entertainment industry, not just sports. I might have a look at some other companies later.
