Okay, so, let’s talk about this whole West Jackson Panther football thing. I’ve been digging into it, and it’s been a bit of a journey, let me tell you. I started by checking out some general stuff, like where the team even plays.
Turns out, they usually play at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium. That’s the spot for the Jackson State Tigers since way back in 1970. And get this, Jackson State University has been running the whole show there since 2011. I just read about it, and felt pretty interesting to know.
Then, I started looking into the game itself. Football games are long, man. I mean, they say it’s 60 minutes, but it feels like forever. Watched some videos about it, kind of boring.
After that, I dove into the team’s history. I found this website that had all their scores and records. It was a mess to navigate, but I managed to piece together some of their past games, wins, and losses. They had some scores, schedules, etc. Pretty cool to see how they’ve done over the years.
I also stumbled upon some news about the WJMS Panther football team winning some big game. They beat Malcolm Bridge 24-20. Apparently, they’re like, the champions for the last five years or something. That’s pretty impressive, right?
Next, I checked out some school websites. Found some info about West Jackson Elementary and Middle School. They have all these options on their site, like applying for a job or getting free lunch. Not really what I was looking for, but hey, good to know, I guess.
And oh man, there was this other game where the WJMS Panthers played in the pouring rain! They won against Oconee Middle School. These guys are tough, playing through a downpour like that. And someone led them to win this game. They must be pretty strong.
Of course, I had to look up some live scores. I checked some big sports site. It had all the games, MLB, NBA, NFL, even soccer. It was cool to see real-time scores, but I was mostly interested in the football, obviously.
Then I read something about how the Western team made the playoffs for the first time ever last year. That’s a big deal for them, I’m sure. They must feel pretty excited about it.
I also found a recent schedule for the West football team. It had all their upcoming games and some recent scores. It’s always good to stay up-to-date on this stuff, you know? So you can follow their games in time, I guess.
Lastly, I saw that the Jackson County football team had 11 players make the All-Region teams. That’s a lot of good players. And one of them, Peyton Scott, he got some special award. These guys must be professional.
So yeah, that’s pretty much what I’ve been up to with this West Jackson Panther football thing. It’s been a lot of reading, clicking, and trying to make sense of it all. But hey, now I know a bunch more about it than I did before. And it’s kind of interesting, I guess. I have also learned something about American football and some teams.
