Okay, so I’ve been trying to keep up with all the cool stuff happening around Waco, Texas. It’s a pretty happening place, you know? But man, it’s tough to track everything. So, I thought, why not make a simple calendar myself? Here’s how I went about it.

Started with the basics
First things first, I needed a platform. I didn’t want to get too fancy, so I just went with what I already use all the time, which is Google Calendar. It’s simple, and I can access it from anywhere. Created a new calendar and named it “Waco Entertainment”.
Gathering info was a pain
Then came the hard part – finding out what’s going on. I spent hours browsing different websites, you know, like the official Waco city page, some local blogs, and even Facebook groups. It was a bit of a mess, to be honest. Lots of scrolling and clicking.
Putting it all together
Once I found an event that seemed interesting, I started adding them to my calendar. I made sure to include all the important stuff like the date, time, and where it’s happening. Sometimes, I also added a little note about what the event is about, just so I wouldn’t forget.
Color-coding, just to be fancy
To make things a bit more organized, I decided to use different colors for different types of events. Like, green for music gigs, blue for art stuff, and red for those one-time special events. It actually helps a lot when I’m just glancing at the calendar.
Setting up reminders
I’m pretty forgetful, so I set up reminders for each event. Usually, I get a notification a day before, and another one a few hours before the event starts. It’s a lifesaver, honestly.
Sharing is caring
After a while, I thought, why keep this to myself? So I made the calendar public. Now, my friends can check it out too, and we can plan things together. It’s pretty cool to see others benefiting from my little project.
Keeping it updated, ugh
The biggest challenge is keeping it updated. Things change, new events pop up, and sometimes I just miss stuff. I try to check for updates at least once a week, but it’s definitely a work in progress.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with creating a Waco entertainment calendar. It’s not perfect, but it’s been a fun little project. And hey, it makes planning my weekends a whole lot easier!
