Okay, so, today I wanted to mess around with some volleyball games on my old Xbox 360. I’ve had this console for a while now, and it’s got a ton of games, but I was really in the mood for some sports action, specifically volleyball.
First off, I dug out my Xbox 360 from the closet. It was a bit dusty, but nothing a quick wipe couldn’t fix. Got it all hooked up to the TV, powered it on, and the familiar dashboard popped up. It always feels a bit nostalgic booting up this old thing.
Next, I started browsing through my game collection to see what volleyball options I had. I found a couple of sports compilations, but I was really hoping for a dedicated volleyball game. I also checked the Xbox Live Arcade, thinking maybe there were some downloadable titles there.
- Tried out “Kinect Sports,” which is pretty fun.
- It has a bunch of different sports, including volleyball, where you use your body to play.
- I played a few matches, jumping and diving around my living room. It’s a good workout, I gotta say.
- I remembered seeing something about a game called “Outlaw Volleyball” or “Volley” somewhere online.
Searched through my physical games again but didn’t find anything with that name. Maybe it was just on the original Xbox, not the 360.
I decided to do a quick search online using my phone to see what volleyball games were actually released for the Xbox 360. It seems like there weren’t a ton of dedicated volleyball games, but there are a few sports collections that include it. I found mentions of games like “Volley Pals”, “Super Volley Blast” and “SPIKE VOLLEYBALL”.
Downloaded a couple of indie games.
I found some on the marketplace that looked interesting. One was called “Super Sports Blast” that has volleyball. Downloaded it and gave it a try.
Spent a few hours playing these different games. They’re not super realistic, but they’re fun in a casual way. It’s cool to see how volleyball is represented in different games, even if it’s not the main focus.
Overall, it was a fun afternoon revisiting some old games and discovering a few new ones. The Xbox 360 might be old, but it still has a lot to offer. I think I’ll be playing more of these volleyball games in the future. Maybe I’ll even try to find “Volley” someday if it was actually released.
If you guys have any recommendations for sports games on the 360, let me know! I’m always up for trying something new, especially if it involves smashing a volleyball over a net.
