Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this volleyball game xbox thing. My grandson, bless his heart, he’s always glued to that there screen, playin’ all sorts of games. This one time, it’s all about that volleyball, jumpin’ and hittin’ that ball. I don’t know too much about it but I always see my grandson play it.
This volleyball game xbox, it ain’t like the real thing, no sir. Back in my day, we used to play volleyball game in the field, with a net we strung up ourselves. We didn’t have no fancy controllers, just our own two hands. But this xbox thing, it’s got all them buttons and whatnot. Confusing, if you ask me. But them young’uns, they sure do love it.

I see him, my grandson, movin’ his fingers real fast, makin’ them little people on the screen jump and dive. He says it’s called “spikin’.” Like drivin’ a nail, I reckon. You gotta hit that ball just right, send it flyin’ over the net. This volleyball game xbox got that too, all about hittin’ that ball hard and fast.

He says it’s a team game, this volleyball game xbox. You gotta work together, even if it’s just them little people on the screen. Pass the ball, set it up, then spike it down. Just like we used to do. One person can’t do it all, you need your teammates.
He always yelling at the screen, telling them to get in position and be ready for that ball, like they can hear him, but I think they can not. I guess he knows what he is doing. Always see him do this thing. I think it needs some practice. This volleyball game xbox thing needs practice.

Now, I may not understand all the ins and outs of this volleyball game xbox, but I can see why he likes it. It’s fast, it’s excitin’, and you gotta think quick. Just like real volleyball, only without the sweat and the dirt. He don’t get dirty playin’ on that xbox, that’s for sure.
He keeps talkin’ about “outside hitters” and “blocks.” I think he said the “outside hitter” is the one who hits the ball on the left side. And them “blocks” are when you stop the other team from scorin’. Sounds complicated to me. This volleyball game xbox got all these fancy names for things.

But I guess it is not very different with real volleyball game. Maybe it is different but also same. I don’t know but I think he likes it very much. He play it everyday. And I think if he is happy then it is good thing. This volleyball game xbox makes him happy.

He can play that volleyball game xbox all day long if you let him. I tell him to go outside, get some fresh air, but he just wants to play that game. Says he’s learnin’ “strategies” and “techniques.” I don’t know what them words mean, but I guess it’s important for playin’ that game.
He says you gotta be “consistent” and have “court awareness.” I think that just means you gotta pay attention to where you are and what you’re doin’. Seems like common sense to me, but maybe it’s different in that volleyball game xbox. He’s always going on about “repetition” too. Doing the same thing over and over again until you get it right. He must do same thing many time in the game. I see him do the same.

This volleyball game xbox is somethin’ else, that’s for sure. It ain’t real life, but it keeps him entertained. He laughs, he yells, he gets all worked up over them little people on the screen. And I guess that’s what matters. He’s havin’ fun, and that’s all that counts.
This volleyball game xbox, it is popular now. Many people play it. I don’t know why it is so popular, maybe it is fun. My grandson sure seems to think so. He’s always playin’ it, every chance he gets. I guess that is why people play it.
He says this volleyball game xbox needs “dedication” and “teamwork”. Sounds like hard work to me, playin’ a game. But I guess if you wanna be good at it, you gotta put in the time. Just like anything else, I suppose. Even a video game, you gotta work at it if you wanna be the best.
So, that is about it. That is all I know about that volleyball game xbox. He sure loves it. Maybe one day I’ll try it out myself, see what all the fuss is about. But for now, I’m happy just watchin’ him play. It is his thing and he likes it very much.
