Okay, so, I’ve been seeing all these moms at my son’s football games with the cutest shirts, and I got a little jealous, not gonna lie. I mean, who doesn’t want to look spirited and support their kid at the same time, right? So, I decided to take the plunge and make my own “football mom” shirts.
First things first, I needed to figure out what kind of design I wanted. I spent a good chunk of time browsing online, looking at different styles, slogans, and what other moms were wearing. Some were funny, some were serious, and some were just plain sparkly. There are so many great ideas and choices online.
I’m not the most artistic person, but I have some basic crafting skills, so after checking out a few different options, I decided to go the custom route. I found some plain, good-quality shirts that I liked. They’re soft and comfy, which is a must when you’re sitting in the bleachers for hours, you know?
Then came the fun part – designing! I went through a few different ideas in my head. Did I want something with just his team’s name and colors? Or maybe a fun saying about being a football mom? After a couple of days thinking about it and many ideas, I finally settled on a design that had both. I put the team name on the front, big and bold, and then on the back, I added a cute little saying that I found online about being a football mom. These football mom shirts are easy to care for.
Once I had my design, I went to a local print shop. I showed them my design, and they helped me pick out the right type of transfer paper. I had to make sure it would work well with the fabric of the shirts and that the colors would pop.
When I got home, I printed out the design on the transfer paper. It was surprisingly easy! I mean, if I can do it, anyone can, right? Then, I just followed the instructions on the transfer paper to iron the design onto the shirts. This part was a little nerve-wracking, not gonna lie. I didn’t want to mess it up! But, I took my time, made sure the iron was at the right temperature, and it actually turned out pretty good! These shirts are perfect for the women who want to stand out from the crowd.
I made a few shirts in different colors, just for variety. And let me tell you, they were a hit at the next game! I got so many compliments, and a few other moms even asked me where I got them. It felt good to show my team spirit and support my son in a fun, personalized way.
Honestly, making these shirts was way easier than I thought it would be. And it was so much cheaper than buying pre-made ones online. Plus, I got to put my own personal touch on them, which made them even more special. Now I wear them to every game, rain or shine! If you’re a football mom thinking about making your own shirts, I say go for it! It’s a fun project, and you’ll end up with something unique that you can wear proudly.
