Okay, so the other day I was down a rabbit hole on the internet, you know how it goes, and I stumbled upon this question: what’s the longest volleyball game in history? I was curious, so I decided to dig in.

My Quest for the Longest Game
First, I hit up Google, just a simple search. I typed in “longest volleyball game ever” and scrolled through the first few results. There was some stuff about college games and some mentions of Guinness World Records, but nothing concrete immediately jumped out.
So, I refined my search. I added “Guinness World Records” to the query, thinking that would narrow it down. And it did! I found some articles talking about these marathon volleyball matches.
The Digging Got Deeper
I started clicking through articles. It looks like the record has been broken a few times, these people are serious about their volleyball!
- I read about a group in the Netherlands.
Seventy-five hours seems unreal.
- Then I learned the current record involved students in Kingston, Canada.
- I’m not sure about the exact time, but these groups played for days!
The Final Result? Still a Bit Fuzzy!
Honestly, even after all that searching, It looks like the record changed at some point from 75 hours to more than 100hours.
It’s tough to nail down the exact longest game without spending hours and hours, and who has time for that? But it’s definitely up there – we’re talking multiple days of continuous play. Crazy, right?

So, that’s my little adventure into the world of extreme volleyball. It’s amazing what people can do when they put their minds (and bodies) to it! I might stick to shorter games myself, though.
