Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this super sporting thing. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it ain’t as complicated as them city folk make it out to be. I hear it’s like that shootin’ game, but a bit more to it. I don’t know everything but this is what I’ve heard.
This super sporting, it’s a kind of sport, you know? Like that clay target shooting. You shoot at them little clay birds flyin’ up in the air. I seen folks do that before. They say this one is new, and the big shots, the NSCA, they’re the ones watchin’ over it. Keepin’ things in order, I reckon.
Now, in this here super sporting, they got three of them throwin’ machines at each station, not just one. Three! They call ’em machines. They’re the things that fling them clay targets up. They shoot ’em out one at a time from each of them machines. So, you gotta be quick on the draw, I reckon. You gotta shoot one from this machine, then one from that machine, then one from the other machine. Makes your head spin just thinkin’ about it!
- Three machines at each place.
- They throw one target at a time, from each machine.
- Gotta be quick to hit ’em all.
And this ain’t like them video games them young’uns play. That’s all about sittin’ on your behind and starin’ at a screen. This here super sporting, you’re out in the fresh air, gettin’ some exercise. Though I hear them video game players get hurt too. Sore fingers and such, from pushin’ them buttons all day. And their eyes get tired from starin’ at that bright screen. Not good, not good at all.
This super sporting, though, you gotta watch out for different things. You could pull a muscle, swingin’ that gun around. Or maybe even break somethin’ if you ain’t careful. Heard a fella once got hit in the head by a piece of clay. Gotta wear them safety glasses, they say. Safety first, that’s what they always tell ya.
It ain’t the same like regular sports or esports. Super sporting needs you to go to special places to play. Other sports, the regular ones, you can play in parks, or fields. Esports, you play them online, wherever you can plug in, I suppose. But this one, you gotta go where they got them machines set up.
Now, they say anyone can try this super sporting. Don’t matter if you’re a greenhorn or if you been shootin’ for twenty years. They got folks who can teach ya, show ya the ropes. They call ’em coaches, I think. Fancy name for someone who helps you out, ain’t it?
So, you see, this super sporting, it’s a bit of this and a bit of that. It’s shootin’, it’s bein’ outdoors, it’s learnin’ somethin’ new. Sounds like a lot of work to me, but I reckon some folks enjoy it. They must, or they wouldn’t be doin’ it, right?
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout how this super sporting is different from them regular sports, like football or baseball. They use all kindsa big words, but I think I got the gist of it. See, in them regular sports, you’re runnin’ around, chasin’ a ball, tryin’ to score points. And you do it outside, in a big field, usually on a certain day, at a certain time. They got rules and schedules, you know.
But this super sporting, you ain’t chasin’ nothin’ but them clay birds. And you can do it pretty much anytime they’re open, I reckon. Not like you gotta wait for a specific day or time like them other sports. And it ain’t exactly the same as them video games either. Them games, you can play ’em anytime, anywhere, long as you got your computer or phone or whatever it is they use.
They say those games are good for your brain. All that thinkin’ and plannin’. I guess that’s good. This super sporting, it seems to have its own way of exercising your brain. If you want to hit those clay pigeons, you have to make decisions quickly.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know about this super sporting. It ain’t for everyone, but it might be for you. Just remember to be careful and listen to them coaches. And wear your safety glasses! You don’t want to get a piece of clay in your eye. That would surely smart.
If you really want to learn how to play this super sporting thing, you should probably ask someone who knows more than me. I only know what I hear from other people talking.
