Okay, so, I’ve been on this little project, right? Trying to piece together who’s gonna be on the Spanish women’s beach volleyball team for 2024. Sounds simple, but it’s been a bit of a journey, let me tell ya.
Started off just poking around, seeing what I could find. First thing, I stumbled upon this official-looking document. It’s labeled “Women Femmes REVISED 26 JUL 19:42” and all that jazz. It’s got this whole “Team Roster Composition” section. Feels like I hit some kind of jackpot, but it was mostly just dates and some codes like “WPOWTEAM7—–_33_WPOWTEAM7—ESP01 v2.0”. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but okay, it’s a start.
Then, I moved on, browsing some more. Found a few articles talking about the Olympics – you know, the usual hype. One of them mentions the Spanish team, but it’s more of a teaser than anything else. “Discover the women’s team list for the Beach Volleyball Olympic Games Paris 2024,” it says. Yeah, thanks, that’s what I’m trying to do!
Dug a bit deeper and found out about this “Beach Pro Tour 2024”. They’ve got a whole section on Futures in Madrid. This felt promising. Maybe I could find the team members there? No such luck. Just a lot of tournament info, but no names.
But then, things started to get interesting.
I came across these two names: Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno. Apparently, they’re a big deal, 22 years old, and they’re likely going to the Paris Olympics in 2024. This is more like it! Found out they’re from TCU, which is cool. They placed fourth in some big tournament called the “Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Espinho Elite 16”. Sounds impressive, right?
From there, I just kept going down the rabbit hole. I found this massive database of Spanish beach volleyball players. 513 of them! I tried filtering by gender and all that, but it’s a lot to sift through. Still, it’s cool to see how many players are out there.
Here’s the kicker, though.
I read that Daniela and Tania are ranked number 14 on this “FIVB Provisional Olympic Ranking”. They’ve got 5,700 points, whatever that means. Seems like they’re pretty much a lock for the Olympics. They even mention Misty May-Treanor, three Gold medals and 112 career victories in beach volleyball. Makes sense they’d mention her, she’s a legend.

The Wrap-Up
So, after all that digging, I’ve got two solid names for the Spanish women’s beach volleyball team for 2024. It’s not the whole team, but it’s a heck of a lot more than I started with. It’s kinda cool to see how these things come together, piece by piece. You start with almost nothing, and then, boom, you’ve got something real. That’s the fun of it, I guess. And I heard that in 2007 the Spain men’s national volleyball team won the European Championship. So I am looking forward to the women’s beach volleyball tournament at the 2024 Olympic Games.
