I’ve been meaning to change up my hairstyle for a while now, and I figured, why not take some inspiration from the soccer field? Those guys always seem to have some cool cuts, and they have to deal with running around and sweating all the time, so it must be practical, right? I started by browsing some pics online and saw a few styles that caught my eye.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s comb-over looked pretty sharp, but I wasn’t sure if I could pull it off. Then I saw some players with braids and undercuts, which looked really cool, but maybe a bit too bold for me. I read somewhere that fades, crew cuts, and textured crops are good choices for soccer players because they’re low maintenance and comfortable. That sounded perfect to me.
Getting Ready
- First, I gathered some photos of the hairstyles I liked. I found a few of Mason Mount and Jack Grealish that looked pretty good.
- Then, I booked an appointment with my barber. I usually just ask for a trim, so this was a bit out of my comfort zone.
At the Barber
When I got to the barber, I showed him the pictures I had saved. He seemed to know what he was doing and suggested a few tweaks to make the style suit my face shape better. I just nodded along, trusting his expertise. He started by washing my hair and then got to work with the clippers and scissors. I closed my eyes a few times, hoping for the best.
The Result
After about half an hour, he was done. I looked in the mirror and was pleasantly surprised. He ended up giving me a textured crop with a slight fade on the sides. It looked stylish yet practical, just like I wanted. It’s been a few days now, and I’m really liking it. It’s easy to style in the morning, and it stays in place even when I’m active. I even got a few compliments from my friends, which was a nice bonus. Overall, I’m happy with my soccer-inspired haircut. It’s a small change, but it made me feel refreshed and more confident. Maybe I’ll try another style from the field next time!
