Alright, so I got into this whole “Sean Kelly volleyball” thing, and let me tell you, it was a ride. I started off just poking around, you know, seeing what the hype was about. Turns out, this Sean Kelly guy is a big deal in the high school volleyball scene. I mean, we’re talking about the best 18-year-old boys’ volleyball player in America. That’s what they say, anyway.
First thing I did was just watch some videos. I found this one where he was showing off his blocking skills. The title was like, “Watch freshman Sean Kelly showcase his amazing blocking skills in volleyball.” It makes sense, the dude is 6’7″, for crying out loud! I’m telling you, this kid’s got some serious talent. His blocks were insane, like, he was swatting those balls down like flies. No joke.
Then, I dug a little deeper. Found out that even when he had a week off from school, this kid was still at it, practicing and working on his game. That’s some dedication right there. I mean, when I had a week off, I was probably just binging some TV shows or something. But not Sean Kelly. Nope, this guy is all about volleyball. It made me think, maybe I should put that much effort into something. Nah, who am I kidding?
I also learned that he plays for Loyola High. They call him America’s best and most humble 17-year-old high school volleyball player. Humble, huh? I guess when you’re that good, you can afford to be humble. I gotta give him props, though. From what I saw, he does seem like a pretty down-to-earth guy, even with all the attention.
My takeaways from this whole Sean Kelly volleyball deep dive?
- First, this kid is seriously good at volleyball. No surprise there.
- Second, he’s super dedicated. Like, seriously dedicated.
- Third, maybe I should find a hobby I’m that passionate about. Or maybe not.
Anyway, that’s my story about getting sucked into the world of Sean Kelly volleyball. It was fun, it was interesting, and it made me feel a little bit lazy. But hey, at least I learned something new, right? And who knows, maybe I’ll even watch a game or two sometime. If I can find them, that is.
