Alright, let’s talk about this “radical entertainment” thing, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, but I’ll tell ya what I know, plain and simple.
So, there’s this company, Radical Entertainment, they make them video games. You know, those things the young’uns are always playin’. They’re up in Canada, somewhere called Vancouver. Big city, I reckon. Heard it’s cold up there.
These folks, they been around a while, makin’ all sorts of games. I heard they made a game about that “Dark Angel” show on the TV. Beat ’em up kinda thing, lots of fightin’ I guess. And that “Simpsons” game too, where you drive around? My grandson, he loves that one. Calls it “Hit & Run.” Kids these days!
They made a bunch of other games too, I hear. Some racin’ games, somethin’ about a “Prototype” – sounds complicated to me. They even helped put some old games on them new PlayStations and Xboxes, the ones that cost a fortune.
- They made a “Dark Angel” game: Beat ’em up, lots of action.
- And that “Simpsons: Hit & Run”: Real popular, my grandson loves it.
- “Prototype” and “Prototype 2” they did: Never played ’em, sound too fancy.
- Even racing games: Go-karts and stuff, fast and loud.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these video games, mind you. But I heard tell that this Radical Entertainment, they used to be their own thing, then some other company bought ’em. Vivendi somethin’ or other, then Activision Blizzard. Big names, I suppose. Sounds like a whole lotta money changin’ hands.
And get this, they even got shut down by the government for a bit! Didn’t follow some rules or somethin’. But they got back on their feet, I guess. Kept makin’ them games.
Seems like they make all sorts of games, for all them different game machines. Computers, PlayStations, Xboxes… Too much for an old woman like me to keep track of. Heck, I can barely figure out how to use the TV remote!
I did hear tell about a funny game they made, somethin’ about “No Game.” Now ain’t that a hoot? A game about not havin’ a game! Kids these days, they sure are strange.
They work hard, these game makers: Always tryin’ to make ’em better, addin’ new stuff. They got folks talkin’ in the games, and subtitles too, for folks like me who can’t hear so good anymore. They even let you adjust the sound so’s you can play even if you can’t hear nothin’ at all.
It’s a whole big business, this video game thing. And Radical Entertainment, they’re right in the middle of it. Makin’ games for folks all over the world. From what I hear, some of them games is real popular, been around for years.
They even got old school games, the kind they used to play back in the day. You can play ’em online now, they say. Don’t need no fancy machines. Just a computer and an internet connection. My grandson, he showed me once. Looked like a bunch of squares movin’ around to me.
So, that’s what I know about this “radical entertainment.” It’s a company, makin’ video games. Some folks like ’em, some folks don’t. Me? I’d rather sit on the porch and watch the birds. But hey, to each their own, I always say.
This company, Radical Entertainment, they been making a lot of games. From action games, to racing games and a whole bunch in between. They even worked on some games to bring them to newer gaming systems. Seems to me, they try to make games for all kinds of people and all kinds of systems.
They sure do keep busy up there in Canada. Always making something new. I don’t really get it, all these buttons and screens, but the young folks sure seem to like it. And as long as they are happy, I guess that’s all that matters.
And they’re still making games, or at least their games are still popular, trending even, that’s what I heard. That makes sense, I guess. People like what they like, and they keep going back for more.
So there you have it, my take on “radical entertainment.” A bunch of folks making games up in Canada. Some are popular, some are not. But they keep on makin’ ’em, and folks keep on playin’ ’em. And that’s all there is to it, as far as I can see.
