So, I got this “porta vara” from Marine Sports, right? Sounds kinda fancy, but it’s basically just a case for my fishing rods. I went and picked it up at the store the other day ’cause I’m tired of my rods getting all banged up in the back of my truck.
First thing I did was grab all my rods – I’ve got a few, you know, different sizes and all that. This case, it says it can hold rods up to 2 meters long, which is pretty good. I laid them all out on the floor and started figuring out how to get them in there.
It’s got these, like, foam dividers inside, so the rods don’t smack into each other. I started with my longest rod, a 1.9-meter one. Slid that right in, no problem. Then I started putting in the smaller ones, kind of puzzling them in there to make them all fit snugly.
- First, I checked all of my rods and found those less than 2 meters.
- Then, I put my rods into the case one by one.
- After that, I tried to close it to see if it could be closed perfectly.
- Finally, I got all the rods in there, zipped it up.
Got all the rods in there, zipped it up, and it actually felt pretty solid. It’s got a handle, so it’s easy to carry around, which is way better than just tossing them in the truck bed like I used to.
My thought
I walked around the house with it a bit, pretending I was heading down to the lake. Felt good, man. I think this thing is gonna be a game-changer. No more worrying about breaking a tip or getting my lines all tangled up. Plus, it just looks kinda professional, you know? Like I actually know what I’m doing out there. Now, I can go to any place with my lovely rods safely. I’m so happy!
