Okay, so today I messed around and made a simple “soccer volleyball” game. It was more challenging than I thought, but pretty fun!

Getting Started
First, I drew out a basic court on a piece of paper. Just a rectangle with a line down the middle. I figured that would be the playing field.
Then I grabbed some small figurines I had lying around – a couple of LEGO guys and some plastic animals. I decided one side would be the “Lions” and the other would be the “Pandas”. Totally random, I know.
Making the Rules
This is where things got interesting. I wanted it to be like volleyball, but with a soccer twist. So, I decided:
- You can only use your feet, head, or chest to hit the “ball” (which was actually a small bouncy ball).
- Each team gets three hits to get it over the “net” (which was just a line of pencils).
- If the ball bounces twice on your side, the other team scores a point.
- First team to 10 points wins.
Playing the Game
I started playing by myself, just trying to control the bouncy ball with my “players”. It was surprisingly tricky! Tried to keep the ball from my goal.
The LEGO guys were pretty useless, always falling over. The plastic animals were a little better because they were more stable. I spent a good hour just practicing hitting the ball back and forth, trying to get a feel for it.

Tweaking and Improving
After a while, I realized the court was too big. The ball kept rolling too far away. So, I made the court smaller using some books as boundaries.
I also added a rule that if the ball hit the “net” and went over, it was still in play. This made the game more exciting.
Final Thoughts
Even though it was just a simple game I made up, it was a fun way to spend an afternoon. It showed me that you don’t need fancy equipment or a lot of people to have a good time. Just a little imagination and some random objects can go a long way!
I think the key is to keep playing this game and do my best to play it very well.
