So, I’ve been trying to figure out this whole “perfume sporting” thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a ride. I’m not exactly a fragrance expert, but I do like to smell good, especially when I’m working out or just being active. You know, that fresh, just-showered feeling, even when you’re sweating buckets.
First off, I started digging around to see what’s out there. I thought, “Okay, there’s gotta be something made specifically for sports, right?” Turns out, there is! There is a category of fragrances called “sport fragrances.” Who knew?
So, I went on a little shopping spree. Okay, maybe not a spree, but I did pick up a few different ones to try. I tried some with names like Adidas Energy, and Adidas Power. I also tried some from Nike called Fuel Men’s Deodorant and Hugo Boss Boss Bottled Night Scent. Figured, why not give the big brands a shot?
I started wearing them to the gym, on my runs, even just when I was doing stuff around the house. I was basically a walking, talking (and sweating) science experiment. I wanted to see how they held up, you know? Did they actually last? Did they mix weirdly with my sweat? These were the important questions.
I must tell you one thing, some of them were pretty strong at first, but they faded nicely. Others were more subtle, which I kind of liked. It’s like, you don’t want to knock people out with your scent when you’re running past them, right? Subtle is good.
Then I found that there is a place named Ulta Beauty, they have a lot of these fragrances. They even have some tips to use them. I am considering if I need to get more different ones from them.
I also noticed that some of these fragrances have similar notes. Like, a lot of them have citrusy stuff, which makes sense. It’s fresh and energizing. And then there are some with woody or musky notes, which are a bit more, I don’t know, grounded? They kind of balance out the citrus.
Oh, and here’s a funny thing. I was wearing one of these sport fragrances when I ran into someone I know at the gym. And they were like, “You smell good! What is that?” So, mission accomplished, I guess? I managed not to smell like a sweaty mess. I think one named Burberry Sport Perfume got a lot of good feedback.
Here are some of my simple conclusions:
- First, spray it on my clothes is a better way than on skin, because it really mixed with my sweat on skin.
- Second, try to avoid some too strong ones, they made me feel not good when doing exercise.
- Third, don’t expect they will last very long time, it is just for sport, so no need to worry about it will last a whole day.
Anyway, this whole perfume sporting thing has been an interesting experiment. I’m still trying out different ones, figuring out what works best for me. It’s kind of fun, actually. It’s like a little boost of confidence, knowing that you smell good, even when you’re pushing yourself. And who knows, maybe it’ll even help me set a new personal record or something. A guy can dream, right?
I will keep trying and maybe will share more about it next time.
