Okay, so the other day, I decided to get a little active and nostalgic, so I thought, “Why not set up a volleyball game?” I haven’t played in ages, and it seemed like a fun way to spend an afternoon outdoors.

Gathering the Crew
First things first, I needed people. I hit up my group chat and surprisingly, a bunch of my friends were in. Some hadn’t played since high school, others were just in it for the laughs. We ended up with about ten people – perfect for two teams.
Setting Up
Next, the gear. Luckily, I had an old volleyball net stashed in my garage. It was a bit dusty, but hey, it did the job. We headed over to the local park, found a decent patch of grass, and started setting up. It took a bit of teamwork, untangling the net and figuring out the poles, but we managed.
- Find a good spot: check.
- Untangle the net: check.
- Set up the poles: check.
- Pump up the volleyball: double check.
Game Time!
We divided into teams – no complicated selection process, just a quick count-off. The game itself was hilarious. Let me tell you, some of us were really rusty. We had air balls, missed spikes, and plenty of clumsy dives. But you know what? It was a blast.
I even managed to get a few decent serves in, though my spiking was definitely off. My friend, Sarah, she was the surprise MVP – turns out, she’d been secretly playing beach volleyball. Show off!
Wrapping Up
After a couple of hours, we were all pretty worn out. We took down the net (much faster this time), packed up, and grabbed some ice cream. Sore muscles were guaranteed, but it was totally worth it. We’re already planning another game next weekend!
