So, I spent my whole afternoon digging into this “Notre Dame Football Bowl Projections” thing, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride. Started the day with a cup of coffee, thinking it would be a quick check, but boy, was I wrong.

First, I jumped onto the internet, just to see what all the fuss was about. Typed in “Notre Dame Football Bowl Projections” and bam, a ton of articles popped up. Seems like everyone and their grandma has an opinion on where Notre Dame is gonna play. I started clicking through, trying to make sense of it all.
I saw that some folks, like this Andy Staples guy from On3, are saying Notre Dame is likely to be the No. 6 seed. That sounded pretty good to me. I kept digging and found that there’s even talk about a potential matchup with Indiana on December 20th. I made a note of that, thinking it could be an interesting game.
- December 20th, 8 p.m. ET: Notre Dame vs. Indiana?
- ESPN and ABC are supposed to televise it.
Then things got a bit more complicated. I stumbled upon some betting odds, something about Notre Dame being the favorite against Georgia. Don’t really get into betting myself, but I jotted it down anyway. Might be useful for some of you guys who are into that.
Notre Dame vs. Georgia?
The College Football Playoff Committee seems to have a big say in this whole thing. I read somewhere that if Notre Dame loses, their playoff chances might be in the committee’s hands. Sounds like a lot of pressure to me. Then, this other writer, Kyle Bonagura, thinks Notre Dame might end up playing SMU and then maybe Miami. That’s a whole different ball game.
Honestly, after spending hours on this, I felt like I was going in circles. One minute Notre Dame is playing Indiana, the next they’re up against Georgia or SMU. It’s all speculation at this point, I guess. One thing’s for sure, though – it’s going to be an exciting postseason. I even made a little table to try and organize it:
Possible scenarios:
- Match with Indiana as No.7 seed.
- No. 6 seed, according to On3’s Andy Staples.
- Facing Georgia, favored to win, according to BetMGM.
- Potentially playing against SMU and Miami, as per Kyle Bonagura.
I’ll be keeping an eye on how this all unfolds. Maybe I’ll do another post once things are more set in stone. Until then, your guess is as good as mine!
