Okay, so I’ve been trying to get more into a regular fitness routine, and I thought I’d share how it’s been going. It’s definitely been a journey, with ups and downs, you know?
First, I picked a sport I thought I’d actually enjoy. I mean, if you hate what you’re doing, you’re never gonna stick with it, right? I went with basketball because I used to play it a little back in school, and I remembered having fun with it.
Then, I started slow. No point in going all-out on day one and then being too sore to move the next day. I found a local park with a court and just shot some hoops for like 30 minutes. Just getting a feel for the ball again, you know?
My Workout Routine
- Warm-up:Some simple stretches, arm circles, leg swings, that kind of stuff.
- Shooting:Just practicing free throws and layups. Trying to get my form right.
- Dribbling:Working on my ball control. I’m still pretty rusty, haha.
- Cool-down:More stretching, to help with the soreness.
After a few days I am really enjoying basketball.
I’ve been trying to go at least three times a week. Some days are better than others, obviously. Some days I feel like I can’t miss a shot, other days I’m bricking everything. But even on the bad days, I still feel good afterward. Just getting some exercise and fresh air does wonders, seriously.
It’s not always easy, I’m tired after work, and sometimes it’s tempting to just stay home and chill. But I always try to push myself, even if it’s just for a little bit. And honestly, once I get out there, I never regret it.
So yeah, that’s my fitness journey so far. It’s not perfect, but I’m making progress, and that’s what matters. I’m feeling better, sleeping better, and just generally having more energy. Still a long way to go, but I’m taking it one day at a time.
