Okay, so the other day I was browsing around, looking for a simple, fun game to kill some time. I stumbled upon this “miniclip volleyball game” and figured, why not? I’ve always been a sucker for those old-school, browser-based games.
First, I fired up my browser. Nothing fancy, just the usual. Then I typed “miniclip volleyball game” into the search bar and hit enter. A bunch of results popped up, but I made sure to find what looked like an official Miniclip result .
Once I was on the site, finding the game was a breeze. It was right there on the homepage, or maybe I clicked through a “sports games” section, I don’t quite remember. Either way, it was easy to spot.
Gameplay Time!
The game itself? Super simple. You control a little character, and your goal is, well, to play volleyball. Two-on-two, classic setup.
- I used the arrow keys to move my character left and right.
- The up arrow key made my character jump.
- And, I think it was the spacebar or maybe ‘Z’ that I used to hit the ball or dive. I’m used a lot.
The first few matches, I was totally getting crushed. The AI was surprisingly good! I kept messing up the timing, sending the ball flying out of bounds, or just completely missing my jumps.
But after a while, I started to get the hang of it. I figured out how to time my jumps better, and I learned how to aim my shots to make it harder for the other team. I even managed to pull off a few spikes! It was basic but surprisingly engaging.
My overall impression?
