Well, let me tell you about this young fella, Malik Nabers. They say he’s gonna be somethin’ else in that football, you know, the NFL draft. He’s a strong boy, that Malik. Malik Nabers projections, that’s what they’re callin’ it. Sounds fancy, but it just means where he’s gonna end up playin’, I reckon.
He played for that LSU, you know, the Tigers. That’s a big school, they say. He caught a whole heap of passes from another fella, Jayden Daniels, and they make quite a team, I reckon. They say that Jayden Daniels, he won some big award, that Heisman thing. Sounds important, anyway. But this Malik, he’s a good one too. He got all them receiving yards. More than anybody else! They say he got 89 catches last year. 89! Can you believe it?
Now, where’s he gonna go? That’s the big question. Malik Nabers projections, where will he land? They say he’s gonna go in the first round. That’s the top group. He’s surely a top pick. Good for him! He deserves it, working so hard and all.
They got these teams, you see, like the Los Angeles Chargers. They pick fifth. And then there’s the New York Giants, they pick sixth. Malik Nabers projections say he might go to one of them. Sounds like good teams. They’re always on the TV. I think he’ll do real good with them.
Sometimes, another team might trade up, they say, to get a good player. They said they want to take some guy named J.J. McCarthy, whoever that is. I don’t know him. If that happens, then this Malik, he might slide down a little. But they say he’s still gonna be in the top ten. Top ten! That’s mighty impressive, ain’t it?
Now, you might not believe this, but they say only two, just two, wide receivers like Malik, only two of ’em ever got picked number one in the whole draft. That’s a long time! One of ’em was named Fryar. He played for the Patriots, and they went to the Super Bowl. That’s a big game, the biggest, they say. Super Bowl XX, that was it. Sounds like a long time ago.
I seen somethin’ on the TV about another young fella. They pick some quarterback named Spencer Rattler. He went to the New Orleans Saints. I saw it all right there on the TV. They announced it all official-like in the fifth round, they said. Now, I don’t know much about these rounds, but fifth sounds pretty good, I reckon. That draft, it’s a big deal, you know.
This Malik, though, he’s somethin’ else. Malik Nabers projections got everyone talkin’. He leads the whole country in receiving yards. That’s what some fella named Joe O’Leary said. Sounds like he knows what he’s talkin’ about.
So, we’ll see where this Malik Nabers ends up. He’s a good boy, a strong boy. He’s gonna do great things, I just know it.

This whole draft thing is just a big to-do, but I guess it’s important for these young fellas. They work hard, they run fast, they catch that ball. It’s a lot of work, I tell ya. But that Malik, he’s got it. He’s got what it takes.
I hope he makes a whole lot of money. He seems like a good kid. Maybe he’ll buy his mama a new house. That’d be nice, wouldn’t it? A big new house with a porch swing. I’d like that.
