Okay, so today was a bit of an adventure in the world of “ne volleyball game.” I’ve been trying to get into the local volleyball scene, and ‘ne’ must stand for ‘any’, I guess. It should be fun, right?

First, I scoured the internet. Looking for “ne volleyball game today.” Found a bunch of confusing stuff, mostly about professional leagues which are way, way above my skill level. I’m talking barely-able-to-bump-without-falling-over level here.
Then I checked local community center websites. Nothing specific with “ne,” but some had drop-in volleyball nights. Bingo! That sounded promising. I called one up. The lady on the phone was super nice, but she said that it is best to come with a friend, which I don’t have in the new city, so not this one.
Next step, I hit up some local Facebook groups. I posted a desperate plea: “Anyone know of a ‘ne’ volleyball game today? Or just, like, any volleyball for a beginner?” I got a few “likes” but no real leads. Feeling a little defeated, I almost gave up.
I went to the park to just chill. And saw some guys playing the volleyball. I am so exciting and jion them. And the play it for like 2 hours.
So, no luck with the mysterious “ne” game, finally I play the volleyball game today! Maybe it’s some super-secret volleyball club I’m not cool enough to know about. But I’m determined to play! Tomorrow, I’m showing up at that community center, flyer or no flyer. Wish me luck!
