So, I’ve been messing around with this whole “vibe entertainment” thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I started out with absolutely zero clue, just a vague idea that I wanted to create something… different.
First, I spent hours, like, actual hours, just brainstorming. What even is vibe entertainment? Is it music? Visuals? Interactive experiences? I scribbled down a bunch of random thoughts on a notepad, most of which were complete nonsense, honestly.
Then I decided to narrow it down. I figured music was a good starting point, something I at least somewhat understand. I dusted off my old guitar and started messing around with some chords. I’m no musician, mind you, but I managed to come up with a few simple melodies that I thought sounded kind of… vibey.
- Experimented with different tempos and rhythms.
- Tried adding some electronic beats using a free app on my phone.
- Listened to a bunch of ambient music for inspiration (and promptly fell asleep a few times).
Next, I thought about visuals. I’m even worse at art than I am at music, but I downloaded a free animation program and started playing around with it. It was mostly just abstract shapes and colors, nothing fancy, but it started to feel like something was coming together.
The biggest hurdle was figuring out how to combine the music and visuals. I searched online for some tutorials and found a few that were helpful, although I still struggled with the technical aspects. After a lot of trial and error (and a few frustrated yells at my computer), I managed to sync everything up.
The Result?
Well, it’s… something. It’s definitely not going to win any awards, but it’s mine. It’s a weird little mix of sounds and visuals that I think captures a certain… vibe. I showed it to a few friends, and they were surprisingly into it. That gave me the confidence to keep going, to keep experimenting, and to see where this whole “vibe entertainment” thing takes me.
It’s still a work in progress, but I’m excited to see what I can create. It’s been a fun and challenging process, and it’s taught me a lot about myself and my creative abilities. Even if it’s just for myself, I am having a lot of fun.
