Okay, so today I decided to finally check out Liger Marine Sports. I’ve been seeing their ads everywhere, and honestly, the pictures of people having a blast on the water just got to me. I needed a day out, some sun, and a good dose of adrenaline.

First things first, I booked a session online. It was pretty straightforward. Chose the activity – I went for the jet ski – picked a time slot, and paid. Done. Got a confirmation email almost immediately, which was reassuring.
Getting There and Geared Up
The place was a bit further out than I expected, but the drive was scenic, so no complaints there. When I arrived, the staff were super friendly. They checked me in, gave me a quick rundown of the safety rules (listen up, folks, safety first!), and then helped me get fitted with a life jacket. It was a bit snug, but hey, better safe than sorry, right?
Hitting the Water
Next up, the instructor walked me through the basics of operating the jet ski. Seemed simple enough – throttle, steering, and a big red kill switch in case things go sideways. We did a few practice runs in a designated area, just to get the hang of it. At first, I was a bit wobbly, felt like I was going to tip over any second, but I quickly found my balance.
Once I felt comfortable, we headed out to the open water. And wow. Just…wow. The feeling of the wind in my hair (well, under my helmet), the spray of the water, the sheer speed…it was exhilarating! I zipped around, carved some turns, and even caught a little air a couple of times. Felt like a total boss. And that feeling, the engine sound make me feel very cool!
The wind-up
After about an hour, my time was up. Honestly, I could have stayed out there all day. My arms were a bit tired, but it was totally worth it. I headed back to shore, handed back the equipment, and thanked the staff.
- Would I do it again? Absolutely.
- Would I recommend it? 100%.
It’s a great way to spend a day, get some exercise, and experience the thrill of the open water. Just remember to wear sunscreen! I forgot, and now I’m sporting a lovely lobster-red hue. Lesson learned.
