Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “La Rive Absolute Sport” fragrance popping up everywhere, and you know me, I gotta try things out and see what the hype is all about. So, I grabbed a bottle to test it out for myself.

The First Spritz
First impressions? Strong. Like, really strong. I sprayed it on my wrist, and whoa, it definitely made its presence known. It’s got this, like, super fresh and sporty vibe, but with a bit of a sharp edge to it. You can smell the citrus for sure, kind of like a mix of lemon and grapefruit, maybe?
Wearing It Around
I decided to wear it out for a day to run some errands. Got groceries, hit the post office, the usual boring stuff. I noticed that the scent mellowed out a bit after the initial blast, but it definitely stuck around. It’s the kind of fragrance that you don’t forget you’re wearing, you know?
- First hour: Super strong and citrusy.
- Few hours in: Still noticeable, but a bit more blended. The sharpness calms down.
- End of the day: Faint, but still there. More of a skin scent at this point.
My Thoughts
Honestly? I’m kind of on the fence about this one. I mean, I found the fragrance projection to be long enough.
The initial spray is a bit much for me, but it does settle down into something more wearable. If you like really bold, fresh scents that last a long time, you might dig this. I think it could be good for a daytime thing, maybe for the gym or if you’re going to be outside a lot.

I’m not sure it’s an everyday kind of smell for me. But, I think you could try it.
