Well, let me tell you somethin’ about that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment logo. That thing, it’s been around for a long, long time. I remember seein’ it on them old VHS tapes, you know? Back when we all had them VCRs and whatnot.
It all started way back, they called it 20th Century-Fox Video. That was in, uh, 1982, I reckon. Time sure does fly, don’t it? They had all sorts of movies on them tapes. Westerns, comedies, you name it. And every time you popped one in, there it was, that big ol’ logo with the lights and all that fancy stuff.
Now, that music, that fanfare, they call it. It’s somethin’, ain’t it? Makes you feel like you’re ’bout to see somethin’ real special. A fella named Alfred Newman, he made that music. Back in, oh, 1933, way before my time. He was the music man for Fox for a good long while, from 1940 to 1960. Then in 1953, they made it even longer, all fancy for them wide-screen movies. I saw it first on that “River of No Return” movie, if I recall correctly.
- First, it was just 20th Century-Fox Video.
- Then, that Disney fella, he bought it up.
- Now, it’s all mixed up with Disney’s stuff.
But in the 70s sometime, that logo, it kinda went away for a spell. Not completely gone, but you didn’t see it as much. Lord knows why they do the things they do.
They say 20th Century Fox, it ain’t around no more. They changed the name to 20th Century Studios, is what I heard. Can’t keep up with all these changes. But that don’t mean we can’t remember that old logo. It’s a classic, that’s for sure. One of the best, I’d say. Been seein’ it for years and years.
I remember that blue intro, that was a thing for a while, too. Blue everywhere. And them templates, folks makin’ their own little videos with it. The world sure has changed, ain’t it? Used to be just the movies, and now everyone’s makin’ their own little picture shows. It is like that Minecraft thing, but for intros.
Then in 2019, that big company, Disney, they went and bought up Fox. Just like that. Now it’s all part of Disney, all that home video stuff. They call it Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. A mouthful, ain’t it? It just goes to show ya, things are always changin’. Nothin’ stays the same forever.
But that logo, that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment logo, it’ll always be somethin’ special. It’s a part of history, you know? A part of all our lives, in a way. We grew up with it. We watched all them movies, saw that logo every time. It’s like an old friend, in a way. One that ain’t around no more, but you still remember ’em fondly.
It’s funny how things change, ain’t it? One day it’s 20th Century-Fox Video, the next it’s somethin’ else entirely. But that’s just the way of the world, I reckon. Nothin’ lasts forever. Except maybe memories. And that logo, well, it’s a good one. A real good one. It’ll always be a part of that history, all them movies we watched, all them good times we had. It’s somethin’ to remember, that’s for sure.
They had that logo on those tapes for years, clear up into 2006, I think. Same old music, from way back in 1994. That fanfare, they call it. People still make videos with it, use the logo and that tune. Keeps it alive, I suppose. Even though it changed names and got bought up by that mouse company.
Well, that’s all I got to say about that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment logo. It’s been a long and windin’ road, ain’t it? But it’s a good one. A real good one. And I reckon, even though it is not the same anymore, it is still somethin’ to look back on with a smile. That’s just the way it is, I suppose. Everything changes, but some things you just never forget.
