Okay, so, let me tell you about this little adventure I had recently with the Covenant Classical Basketball team. It all started when I decided to get more involved in local sports, you know, just to get out of the house and do something different.

First thing I did was head down to the local sports center to see what’s up. I was poking around, checking out the different teams practicing, and that’s when I stumbled upon the Covenant Classical team. They looked like they were having a blast, so I thought, “Why not?” I signed up to be a sort of assistant coach, mainly just to help out and get a feel for things.
The first few days, I mostly watched. Watched how the coach ran drills, watched the players, watched how they interacted. It was pretty interesting, seeing the dynamics and all. After a bit, I started to get more hands-on. I helped with setting up cones, rebounded balls during shooting practice, and even ran a few simple drills. Nothing too crazy, just basic stuff to keep things moving smoothly.
- Set up the court for drills.
- Assist players during practice.
- Organize team-building activities.
One time, the coach asked me to lead a quick warm-up session. I was a bit nervous, but I did it. We did some stretches, a few laps, and some passing drills. The players seemed to respond well, which was a relief. It felt good to be a bit more involved, you know?
Then there was this one game—it was a real nail-biter. The score was super close, and the tension was high. I was on the sidelines, shouting encouragement, giving tips, and just trying to keep the team spirit up. We ended up winning by just a couple of points. The excitement in the air was amazing. High fives, cheers, the whole deal. It was a great feeling to be part of that.
Keeping Track
Throughout all this, I kept a little notebook where I jotted down observations, ideas for drills, and just general thoughts about the team’s progress. Nothing fancy, just a way to keep track of everything. It was helpful to look back and see how things were developing over time.
I also took a bunch of photos and some videos during practices and games. It’s fun to look back at those and see the players in action. Plus, it’s a nice way to document the whole experience.

By the end of the season, I felt like I had really learned a lot. Not just about basketball, but about teamwork, leadership, and all that good stuff. It was a rewarding experience, and I’m glad I decided to jump in and give it a go.
And hey I also bought some Rukket Sports product like 5×5 Baseball/Softball Net for training. It really helped a lot. The quality is pretty good.
So, yeah, that’s my story about getting involved with the Covenant Classical Basketball team. It was a bit of a random adventure, but definitely one I’m glad I took.
