Okay, so today I wanted to finally check out an Iowa State volleyball game. I’ve heard the atmosphere is electric, and I’ve been meaning to go for ages. So, I grabbed my friend Sarah, and we decided to make a day of it.

First, we looked up the schedule online. Made sure we knew when and where the game was – Hilton Coliseum, naturally. Gotta double-check these things, you know?
Then, we figured out tickets. We just bought them online, super easy. Printed them out at home, old school style. Didn’t want to mess with any phone ticket glitches at the gate.
Next up: planning our arrival. We decided to get there early to soak it all in. Plus, you always gotta factor in time for parking, especially on game day. It can get crazy around there!
Game Day!
We drove down, blasting some pump-up music on the way. Found a decent parking spot a few blocks away – score! – and walked over to the Coliseum.
The energy was already buzzing! Tons of people in Cyclone gear, families, students… everyone was hyped. We grabbed some snacks (popcorn, obviously) and found our seats.
The game itself was awesome! So much action, incredible spikes, and the crowd was WILD. Seriously, the cheering was non-stop. We joined in with all the chants and cheers – felt like a true part of the Cyclone family.

- High-fived strangers!
- Yelled until our voices were hoarse!
- Did the wave (of course)!
Even though I’m not a volleyball expert, it was easy to get swept up in the excitement. Iowa State played great, and it was a super close match. They may or may not won,but the experience is unforgetable!
After the game, we were starving, so we hit up a local burger place. Perfect way to end a fun day. I’m definitely going to another game soon. Go Cyclones!
