So, the weather’s been getting hotter, right? I figured it was time to get the pool ready. And you know what? I thought, “Why not add a little something extra this year?” That’s when I stumbled upon this Intex pool volleyball game thing. Looked like fun, so I decided to give it a try.
First, I had to actually get the thing. Went online, did a quick search, and found a bunch of places selling it. Ended up ordering it from some online shop – pretty easy, they had all these options for like “cash on delivery” and “easy returns”. You know, the usual stuff.
Once it arrived, I got to work setting it up. Now, I’m not the handiest guy, but this was surprisingly straightforward. I inflated the thing and it was like, instantly ready. The set comes with these poles that you stick into the sides of the pool, and then you just hang the net on them. Boom, instant volleyball court in my pool.
I invited some friends over to give it a go. We weren’t sure about the size of the net at first. There was like 8 people, it ended up being totally fine in my 8×8 meter pool. I’ve read somewhere that, even with 10 people, this size should work out, but we were cool with 8. I guess you could adjust the pool size a bit, like maybe 7×7 meters for 6 people, but honestly, 8×8 seems to be the sweet spot.
We played for hours. It’s a bit different than regular volleyball, obviously, ’cause you’re in the water. We had two teams, with four players on each side. It was a total blast. Lots of splashing, lots of laughs, and a surprisingly good workout.
Here’s the thing about water volleyball:
- It’s way more fun than I expected.
- It’s a good way to cool down on a hot day.
- You don’t need to be a pro to play.
- It’s a great excuse to invite people over.
