Okay, so I’ve been wanting to watch more sports lately, but it’s a hassle to switch between different platforms. I heard about this thing called “rede sports” and thought I’d give it a shot. First, I had to figure out what it actually was.

Turns out, it’s not a single service but more like a way to get all your sports in one place. I started by checking out ESPN+, ’cause that seemed to be a big part of it. I made an account, pretty straightforward. They got a lot of live games and shows on there.
But I wanted more! So, I grabbed my Roku remote. I already had this thing set up, it basically makes my TV a “smart TV,” which is pretty cool. I pressed that little home button on the remote to get to the main menu, that’s where all the good stuff is.
- Press the Home button.
- Scroll through the options.
- Select what you want.
I already had Hulu downloaded on there too. I love Hulu, they got tons of shows and movies, even their own originals. It’s super easy to use, you just search for what you want and press play.
Now, for the tricky part. I’m a Virgin Media customer, and I wanted to get Sky Sports+ on there as well. I found out the easiest way is to just hit the red button on my Virgin Media remote while I’m on a Sky Sports channel. Who knew it was that simple? They had a tag “How-to”, very useful!
There are actually a bunch of ways to get it, but this was the simplest. Once I did that, I could access all the Sky Sports+ stuff. So now I had ESPN+, Hulu, and Sky Sports+ all ready to go. It took a little bit of time to set up, but now I can easily flip between different sports without having to mess around with different remotes or websites. It is just so much easier.
I did mess around on the ESPN website though. They got schedule pages, replay sections, and even articles. They made it real easy to browse around and find what you’re looking for. And they got original shows too. And you can play little online games on the ESPN website, like this one where you can challenge a computer or another person. You can even play as a fish.

My final thought?
This whole “rede sports” thing is more about using these different services together to make watching sports easier, and it works! I’m happy with it.
