Okay, so, today I want to talk about my little project with the roda do Palio Sporting. I’ve been eyeing these wheels for a while, and finally, I got my hands on a set. These are the 17-inch ones from an Idea Sporting, and man, they look sweet. I’ve been thinking of swapping my old ones out, but I wanted to make sure everything fits right.
First thing I did was to check the size. The ones I got are 175/65/14, and they seem to be in pretty good shape. About 90% tread left on the tires, which is a good start. I found them on some online marketplace, listed just two days ago in São Paulo. The guy was asking for R$1,300, which seemed like a fair price.
I contacted the seller and went to take a look. The wheels were in great condition, just as he described. We talked a bit, and he mentioned he was open to trades, but I was just looking to buy. I did a quick check to see if these wheels fit on my car. It is really important to me!
After making sure these were the right ones, I decided to go for it. I paid the man and loaded up the wheels. Got them home and started cleaning them up. Usually, water is fine for cleaning, it removes most of the dust and dirt. I just used some water and a cloth to wipe them down. They cleaned up pretty nicely.
Next, I wanted to see how they look on the car. I jacked up the car, took off the old wheels, and put on the new ones. It was a bit of a workout, but totally worth it. They fit perfectly, and the car looks so much better now. It’s amazing what a difference a set of wheels can make.
Here’s what I did step-by-step:
- Found the wheels online.
- Checked the size and condition. 175/65/14, 90% tire.
- Contacted the seller and inspected the wheels.
- Made sure they would fit my car.
- Bought them for R$1,300.
- Cleaned them up with water.
- Installed them on my car.
I’ve been driving around with them for a few days now, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. The car feels a bit different, in a good way. Plus, it just looks so much cooler.
So, if you’re thinking about getting new wheels, it’s a good idea to do your research, check the sizes, and make sure they fit your car. And don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty and do the swap yourself. It’s a fun little project, and the result is totally worth it!
That’s it for my wheel adventure. Hope this was helpful for some of you gearheads out there!
