Well, lemme tell ya somethin’ about this here move entertainment thing. It’s a big ol’ deal, I reckon. Lotsa folks gettin’ all riled up about it, and it’s bringin’ in the big bucks, ya know?
Movin’ Pictures and Such
First off, you got yer movin’ pictures. Used to be, we just had them silent films, but now they got talkies, and color, and all sorts of fancy things. I don’t rightly understand all of it, but people sure do love ’em. They line up around the block to see them newfangled movies. And it ain’t just the pictures, it’s the whole shebang – the popcorn, the candy, the whole experience. People payin’ good money for that.
Then there’s that television thing. We got one now, and it’s somethin’ else, I tell ya. All them shows, right there in yer livin’ room. You got yer comedies, yer dramas, yer game shows, all sorts of stuff. And all for free just to turn it on! Course, you gotta sit through them commercials, but that’s how they make their money, I suppose. Sellin’ soap and cars and whatnot. And they sell a lot of it by puttin’ it on the TV, folks tell me.
Singin’ and Dancin’
And don’t even get me started on the music! Lord have mercy, the music these days. It ain’t like the old days, with the fiddles and the banjos. Now it’s all electric guitars and drums loud enough to wake the dead. But the young folks, they love it. They go to them concerts and dance and scream and shout. It’s a sight to behold, I tell ya.

- Sellin’ millions of them platters
- Goin’ on tour, playin’ for big crowds
- Makin’ more money than you can shake a stick at
And folks pay good money for it, too. Buyin’ them records, goin’ to them concerts, it all adds up. It’s a big business, this music entertainment, that’s for sure. They make it all sound so easy, but it’s a lot of work, that’s what they say. Gotta write the songs, gotta sing good, gotta play the music, gotta do all that dancin’. It ain’t as easy as it looks, but folks sure do love it.
Playin’ Games
And now they got these newfangled video games. My grandkids, they’re all about them video games. They sit there for hours, starin’ at that screen, pushin’ buttons and whatnot. I don’t understand it, but they sure do love it. And they ain’t the only ones. People all over the world are playin’ these games. They even have competitions, where people play against each other for money and prizes. It’s a crazy world we live in, I tell ya.
It ain’t just for kids, neither. Grown folks playin’ them games, too. Spendin’ their hard-earned money on them consoles and cartridges and whatnot. It’s a big business, this game entertainment. Bigger than you might think. They make all kinds of games. Some you shoot things, some you build things, some you just run around and collect things. It’s all beyond me, but it makes a lot of money, that’s for sure.
The Whole Shebang
So, ya see, this move entertainment thing, it’s a lot of different things. It’s movies, it’s television, it’s music, it’s games, it’s all sorts of stuff. And it’s all about makin’ money. People entertainin’ other people, and other people payin’ for it. It’s a big ol’ circle, and it just keeps goin’ ’round and ’round.
Gotta get yourself some good learnin’ if you want in on it, they say. Some fancy schoolin’ can help ya get a leg up. And you gotta know people. Meetin’ folks, talkin’ to ’em, makin’ friends. That’s how you get ahead in this world, they say. ‘Specially in the entertainment world.
And there’s all sorts of jobs, too. Ain’t just the folks on the screen or singin’ on the stage. There’s folks writin’ the stories, folks buildin’ the sets, folks sellin’ the tickets, folks doin’ all sorts of things. It takes a whole lotta people to put on a show, ya know. And they all gotta eat, so they all gotta get paid. It’s a big machine, this entertainment industry, and it ain’t slowin’ down anytime soon, I reckon.
So, there ya have it. That’s my two cents on this whole move entertainment business. It’s a big deal, and it ain’t goin’ away. So, if you’re lookin’ to get into it, you better be ready to work hard and make some friends. And who knows, maybe you’ll be the next big star. Stranger things have happened, I suppose.
