Okay, so, I’ve been job hunting lately, and let me tell you, it’s a jungle out there. I stumbled upon this thing called “Hershey Entertainment Jobs,” and figured, why not? Chocolate and fun, sounds like a dream, right?
So I dove in. First thing I did was hit up their website. Gotta see what they’re all about.
The website is pretty slick, I gotta say. Lots of pictures of smiling people, roller coasters, and of course, chocolate. They really sell the whole “fun” aspect. Browsed through a bunch of pages, reading about their parks, resorts, and all that jazz.
Then I started checking out the actual job listings. They have everything from ride operators to lifeguards to people dressing up as Hershey’s Kisses. I even found some office jobs, like marketing and finance and stuff.
- Found a few that looked interesting:
- Food and beverage associate, that one got me thinking about all those snacks I could get discounts on.
- Then there’s the games attendant, which sounds like you just get to play games all day.
- And, oh boy, they even have lifeguard positions at their water park.
I decided to apply for the food and beverage associate one. Figured, hey, I like food, I like people, why not? Filled out their online application. Name, address, the usual boring stuff.
They also asked about my previous work experience. I listed all the random jobs I’ve had over the years, hoping they wouldn’t judge me too hard for that one summer I spent selling hot dogs at a baseball stadium. Not my proudest moment, but hey, it paid the bills.
After I hit “submit,” I got one of those automated “thank you for your application” emails. Now the waiting game begins. I checked my email like a hawk for the next few days, hoping to hear something back.
And guess what? A week later, I got an email inviting me for an interview! I was stoked! Did a little happy dance, then started to get nervous. What should I wear? What should I say? How do I impress them?
I ended up wearing a nice shirt and some decent pants. Tried to look presentable, you know? The interview was at one of their offices near the park. The place was pretty cool, decorated with all sorts of Hershey’s stuff.
The interview itself was pretty chill. Talked to a nice lady from HR. She asked me about my experience, why I wanted to work there, the standard stuff. I tried to be enthusiastic and friendly, and I think it went okay.
She told me they’d be in touch in a few days. So, I waited some more. And then, finally, I got another email. They offered me the job! I couldn’t believe it!
I accepted, of course. Now I’m officially a food and beverage associate at Hershey Entertainment! I start next week, and I’m actually pretty excited. Free chocolate, here I come!
So yeah, that’s my story of how I landed a job at Hershey Entertainment. It’s been a wild ride, but I think it’s gonna be a fun one. Who knows, maybe I’ll even get to meet the guy in the giant Hershey’s Kiss costume.
The whole thing felt like a bit of a gamble, but it seems to have paid off. I’m gonna be working in a place that’s all about fun and sweets. Fingers crossed it lives up to the hype!
