Okay, so the other day, I decided to actually get my act together and organize a proper volleyball game with my friends. We always talk about it, but this time, I was determined to make it happen. The first thing I thought was, “What gear do we actually need?”

I started by grabbing a notebook and a pen – old school, I know. Then, I just started jotting down everything that came to mind.
The Must-Haves
- Volleyball: Duh, right? But I realized we only had one really old, beat-up ball. Time for an upgrade!
- Net: We didn’t have one, so that was a big one. I remember those cheap sets will broken very quick.
Making it Official (and Safe)
Then, I thought about making it a little more “official” and, more importantly, safer.
- Knee pads: Some of my friends are, shall we say, enthusiastic divers. Knee pads seemed like a good idea to prevent injuries.
- Court Lines/Boundary Markers: We were planning on playing in the park, so I needed a way to mark the court. I figured some bright cones would do the trick.
- First-Aid Kit: Just in case! Better safe than sorry, you know? Band-aids, antiseptic wipes, the whole nine yards.
Extras for Comfort
Finally, I thought about some extra things that would just make the whole experience more comfortable and enjoyable.
- Water Bottles: Gonna be lots of activities. Hydration is the key.
- Sunscreen: Playing outdoors, gotta protect that skin!
- Snacks: Because who doesn’t love snacks? Gotta keep that energy up!
- Whistle:Some times we need it when we play games.
So, I hopped online, did some quick shopping, and got everything ordered. It felt good to be prepared! Then,I send lots of messages to my friends. The game is this weekend, and I’m actually pretty excited. It should be a blast, and thanks to my little list, we’ll have everything we need. I am thinking maybe record a video for it.
