Okay, so, today I was looking into the German men’s volleyball team. Just kinda curious, you know? So I started digging around to see what I could find out about them.

First, I found out that the team is governed by the DVV, which I guess is the Deutscher Volleyball-Verband. Sounds important. They’re the ones who put the team together and get them into all those international competitions. So, I started to look into their performance in competitions.
- I saw that they dropped from 9th place in 2018 to 14th in 2019, that’s not so great.
- Then I learned that since reunification, their participation at the World Championships has been uneven. Their only medal was bronze in 2014.
- Their record at the European championships is similar, with a single medal, silver, in 2017.
Also, I looked around for recent matches and stuff. Seems like they played against the USA in the Olympic volleyball tournament and Americans beat them in five sets. Oh, and get this – they just got a new head coach! Giulio Bregoli, a 50-year-old Italian guy, he’s gonna lead the team until 2028. Apparently, he’s replacing Alexander Waibl. I guess they’re hoping he can shake things up and bring them some wins.
So, yeah, that’s basically what I found out about the German men’s volleyball team today. Seemed like they had some ups and downs, but they’re still in the game, and the new coach might bring some exciting changes. It’s always interesting to see how these teams evolve over time, right?
Well, that’s all about my today’s finding, hope you guys enjoy it!
