It was a Wednesday night, and I was all set to watch the Colorado Buffaloes take on the Cincinnati Bearcats. It’s a big game in the Big 12, you know?
I grabbed some snacks and settled in. I heard that Bandaogo, this player from Cincinnati, is a beast at blocking shots. I saw somewhere that he was ranked second in the Big 12 for blocked shots, like 1.7 per game. The commentator, Boyle, even called him an “elite-level shot-blocker.” Sounds intense, right?
Anyway, I was also checking out some other games. There was this Wisconsin versus Ohio State match in the Big Ten, and a Wisconsin vs. Minnesota game. They were talking about the TV channels and streaming stuff for the games. Then I stumbled upon some info about the Big3, which is this 3-on-3 basketball league started by Ice Cube. It’s got former NBA players and international folks playing. Pretty cool, huh?
As for game day prep, I made sure to drink plenty of water. I’d heard it’s good to do that. Then, about 3-4 hours before the game, I whipped up a decent meal: pasta, chicken, and some broccoli. I had access to a gym, so I thought, why not get a quick workout in before game time?
Oh, and there was this bit about the Cavs coach, Kenny Atkinson, saying there were doubts about Cleveland winning a game even after it was over. That’s some serious drama. I also read about Kentucky beating Western Kentucky in some NCAA game. The score was 87-68, a pretty big win.
- Water: Stay hydrated.
- Meal: Carbs and protein, like pasta and chicken.
- Gym: Quick workout if you can.
There was also something about ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ at Neville Arena before the Auburn versus Kentucky game. It’s always a big deal when those two teams face off. So yeah, that’s how I spent my Wednesday night, getting all the basketball action in. It was a good time, even with all the ups and downs of the games.
Game Day Prep Tips:
- Stay hydrated throughout the day.
- Have a good meal 3-4 hours before.
- If you can, squeeze in a quick workout.
That’s the whole shebang, folks. Just a regular guy enjoying some basketball and sharing the experience. No fancy stuff, just straight-up game day vibes.
