Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into the world of volleyball lately, specifically the French beach volleyball team. It all started a few weeks ago when I was flipping through channels and landed on a beach volleyball match.
I was immediately hooked! The athleticism, the strategy, the teamwork—it was all so captivating. And that’s when I saw them – the French team. They were playing with such passion and skill, I just had to know more.
First, I started just watching any match I could find that featured France. I was like a sponge, soaking up all the action. I learned that this summer, the French men’s team totally crushed it. They became Olympic champs again, and they also snagged three European Championship titles! That’s pretty darn impressive.
Then, I found this website called Flashscore. It was like the holy grail for scores. I could check out all the final and partial results for France. I spent hours on there, digging through their past games, getting a feel for their winning streaks and tough losses.
And of course, I had to find out more about the women’s team. I learned all about them through Volleyball World website. This site was great because you can see all the updates about all the teams.
I got totally invested in their journey to the Olympics in Paris 2024. It’s a big deal because there’s this last spot open for European teams. I saw France competed in Heraklion, Greece after three days, it was so intense!
Next, I got into the nitty-gritty details of the players. I found this list with all their names, positions, heights, even their birthdays! Did you know there’s a player named Helena Cazaute? She’s the captain and an outside hitter. And there’s this middle blocker named Barthelemy Chinenyeze – I’ve seen him make some killer blocks! I also found out about Clemence Vieira, who’s part of the women’s team. She’s super talented and from Grenoble.
Then, I read that France was the first men’s team to win back-to-back Olympic golds since the US did it way back in the ’80s. They beat Poland 3-0! That just blew my mind.
I started following them all on social media, watching their training videos, and reading every article I could find. I feel like I know them all personally now. I’m so excited to see how they do in the lead-up to Paris 2024. It is going to be an epic journey!

- They are determined to win. They’re not messing around.
