Okay, so, I got this idea stuck in my head the other day. I wanted to find out about the longest volleyball game ever. I mean, how long can people actually keep hitting a ball back and forth, right?

First, I fired up my computer. Then I opened my browser and started searching.
I typed in “longest volleyball game ever,” and a bunch of stuff popped up. I started clicking around, reading a few articles here and there.
Seems like most games, or matches, whatever you call them, usually last like an hour, maybe an hour and a half. But then I saw something about a game in Italy. They said it was the longest one since they started this “rally point system” thing, whatever that means. It was the Cisterna against Milan. This game went on for almost 3 hours! 2 hours and 55 minutes, to be exact. Can you believe that?
- Checked out another result.
It talked about some qualifying match. Some dudes from Denmark, Anders and Bo, played against a couple of guys from China, Jian and Shun. This one lasted 1 hour and 53 minutes. That’s a long time, but not as long as the Italian game. The score was kinda funny too, 17-21 and then 31-29.
- Read some random comments and stuff.
People were just saying how much they like volleyball, you know, the usual stuff. And I saw this one thing that said a regular volleyball match takes 60-90 minutes, but I already knew that.
- Looked at another page.
It said the shortest time for something in volleyball was like 1 minute and 41 seconds. No idea what that’s about, probably some quick play or something.
So, after jumping around a few more sites and reading bits and pieces, I figured out that the Italian game, Cisterna vs Milan, that’s the big one. Almost three hours of volleyball. That’s what I found out today. I’m guessing there might be longer games out there, somewhere, maybe before they had all these rules and stuff. But for now, that nearly 3-hour one in Italy, that’s the longest one I could find.
And there you have it! The longest volleyball game was 2 hours and 55 minutes of the match in Italy.
