Okay, so, I’ve been trying to put together this roster for the EWHS girls’ basketball team, and let me tell you, it’s been a process. Started off with a bunch of scattered information, you know, the usual stuff you find online.

First, I started to look for where to get info about the team. There was some talk about winter sports tryouts, so I figured that was a good starting point. I saw something about “EWHS Athletics Events” but it was just an image, no real details. I did notice mention of “Athletics Eligibility Procedures.” Sounds important but didn’t really help me with the roster.
Then I found a couple of posts about recent games. One mentioned a player named Finley Wichers scoring three points. Cool, I jotted that name down. Another post talked about Amelia Miller being surrounded by defenders. Okay, another name for the list. At least now I had two player names. These posts were tagged with “Girls” and “Edmonds,” which made sense.
Getting into the Details
Next, I found an article from January talking about the 2023-24 high school girls’ basketball season. It mentioned the playoffs were coming up soon. This was good to get an idea of the timing, but still no roster. Another article mentioned a game between MERVO and EDMONDSON-WESTSIDE from last December. I figured that since Edmondson-Westside has “Edmond” like “Edmonds”, this might be the team I was looking for, but there was not much more useful information than that.
I found a post from November talking about 24 top girl hoopers for the 2023-24 season. One of them was named Hall, who apparently played for the Evergreens. I guess “Evergreens” is another name for “EWHS”? I wrote down the name, just in case.
I came across an Instagram post from ewhs_ghoops. Bingo! That looked promising. It was from December 3rd and said “Your 2024-2025 Warriors Basketball Team.” This must be it! But, the post didn’t list any of the player names, just had a picture of them. But I guess “Warriors” is another name the team goes by.
Final Touches
There was another article on * about top-ranked high school girls’ basketball players. It mentioned someone named Leah Macy, but it wasn’t clear if she was on the EWHS team. It seemed like a general article about top players.

Lastly, I found out that the coach’s name is Bari Winner. That’s something, I guess. At least I knew who was in charge.
So, after all that digging, I ended up with a few player names: Finley Wichers, Amelia Miller, and maybe Hall. I also learned that the team might be called the Evergreens or Warriors, and the coach is Bari Winner. I also found a social media account for the team that could be useful. It wasn’t the full roster I was hoping for, but it’s a start. I figure I can use this info to maybe reach out to the school or check out some games to get the rest of the names. It’s a bit of a messy process, but hey, that’s how it goes sometimes when you’re trying to piece things together from the internet.
