Okay, so, I wanted to figure out the schedule for the East Jackson High School varsity football team. You know, the Eagles. I’m a big fan and always try to catch their games when I can. It is not easy to get the information. I spent a lot of time on it.
First, I went straight to the school’s website, thinking it would be the most obvious place to find it. But, man, was I wrong! I dug around for a good while, clicked on every link that seemed remotely related to sports or football, and found nothing.
Next, I tried searching on Google. I typed in “East Jackson High School varsity football schedule” and a bunch of stuff came up. Lots of websites that track high school sports, but nothing clear and official-looking. I was starting to get a bit frustrated at this point. But I kept looking.
Findings
- I found out that the team is called the Eagles.
- They had a 6-4 season in 2023.
- I saw mentions of the 2024-2025 schedule and even the 2025-2026 schedule. But I could not see them entirely.
- There’s something about a full schedule and the option to print it, but I couldn’t find where to do that.
I decided to check social media. Maybe the team or the school had a Facebook page or something. I found a couple of pages that seemed related, but the information was either outdated or just not what I was looking for. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack!
Finally, I decided to go back to those sports websites. I spent time to look through them more carefully this time. After all that, I finally found it! I have the schedule now and know when the games start. What a relief! I’m all set to cheer on the Eagles this season. Go Eagles!
It was way harder than it should have been to find a simple sports schedule. I am so tired of it. But, in the end, I got what I needed. That’s what counts, right?
