Okay, so I’ve been wanting to watch the Nebraska volleyball game for a while now, and I finally figured out how to do it, after some trial and error. I am going to tell you all the things I did.
First Try: Just Googling It
My first thought, like anyone else’s, was to just Google it. I typed in “Nebraska volleyball game live stream” or something like that. I got a bunch of results, some looked promising, some looked kinda sketchy. I clicked on a few, ended up with nothing but pop-ups.
Getting a Bit Smarter: Figuring Out the TV Channel
So, plain Googling wasn’t cutting it. I realized I needed to be more specific. I did some more digging and found out which TV channels usually broadcast the games. Often, it’s on one of the Big Ten Network channels, sometimes it is on ESPN, or something like that. Knowing the channel is half the battle, right?
Checking My Cable Package
I have cable, so I thought, “Great, I probably have the channel!” I grabbed the remote, started scrolling through the guide, looking for the game. Found some of them, but some others are not on the basic plan.
Considering Streaming Services
I’ve heard people talk about streaming services like Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV, Sling TV, FuboTV… the list goes on. These services often have sports channels in their packages. I checked out a few, looked at their channel lineups, compared prices. Some of them have free trials, which is nice.
- Hulu + Live TV: Had most of the channels I needed, plus a bunch of other stuff.
- YouTube TV: Similar to Hulu, good channel selection, also a free trial.
- Sling TV: A bit cheaper, but I’d need to get the sports add-on package.
- FuboTV: Focuses a lot on sports.
My Final Approach: The Winning Solution
After thinking about all of it, Because, frankly, the basic cable wasn’t cutting it for all the games.I signed up for one of the streaming service’s free trial and it works great. So I can watch the game now!
So, that’s my story. It took a bit of figuring out, but now I’m all set to cheer on the Huskers. Go Big Red!
