That boy, CJ Stroud, he sure can play football! He got a whole bunch of them fantasy points, whatever that is. Sounds like something the young folks made up. But my grandson, he’s always going on about it. Says CJ Stroud is a real good player. I seen him on the TV, throwin’ that ball all over the place. He’s a quarterback, you know. The most important one on the field, I reckon.
They talk about these fantasy points like it’s real important. They say he got, like, 254 of ’em. That’s a lot of points, right? More than anyone else in the whole wide world? My grandson, he says CJ is number 12 in total fantasy points and number 15 in points per game. He plays 15 games. I don’t know what that means exactly, but it sounds pretty good to me! He throws the ball far, that CJ Stroud. Almost 4000 yards. That’s like walkin’ from here to Johnson’s farm, back and forth, a hundred times! Ninth among all them QBs, whatever that means.
And touchdowns, he got a whole bunch of them too. Twenty-one, I hear! That’s more than three touchdowns each game. It is amazing. That put him at 13th among all them players. But he got hurt, poor thing. Hit his head real bad. Missed two whole games! Weeks, they call ’em. Week 15 and 16. Concussion, they said. Sounds scary. Hope he’s alright now.
These fantasy points, they tell you how good a player is. Like a score, I guess. They guess how many points the player will get. They call these guesses “projections”. They guess for each game, each week, even the whole month! Sounds like a lot of guessin’ to me. But the young folks, they love it.
One time, this CJ Stroud, he didn’t do so good. Only got like 3 points. That’s not a lot, is it? My grandson was real sad that day. He was playin’ against the New York Jets, whoever they are. He only threw for 91 yards. No touchdowns that day. That’s why he only got 3 points. Tough game, I guess.
But another time, oh boy, he got over 40 fantasy points! He must have played like a real champ that day! My grandson was jumpin’ up and down, he was so happy. He threw the ball real good. 470 yards, they say! Five touchdowns, even! He was playing his best, that’s for sure!
This CJ Stroud, he’s a good player. Even when he doesn’t get a lot of fantasy points, he still helps the team. He throws to this other boy, Tank Dell. They work together real good. Must be nice to have a friend like that on the field. They say CJ Stroud is one of the best. Seventh most points per game, I hear. That’s real good, ain’t it?
I don’t know much about this fancy football, but I know CJ Stroud is a good player. He’s got a strong arm, and he’s not afraid to throw that ball. He’s got a lot of fantasy points, and that’s all that matters to these young folks. They love watchin’ him play.
