Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into the 2025 NFL mock draft scene lately, specifically for my beloved Chicago Bears. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you!
First off, I started by scouring the internet for any and all mock drafts I could find. I mean, we’re talking hours of sifting through articles, blog posts, and even some questionable Twitter threads. But hey, gotta do what you gotta do for your team, right?
What I found was pretty interesting. Most of these mock drafts have the Bears picking around the 10th spot in the first round. Feels about right, considering how they’ve been playing. And guess what? They also have some extra picks in the second and third rounds!
Now, here’s where it gets fun. I started looking at what positions these mock drafts think the Bears should target. The two big ones that kept popping up were interior offensive line and edge rusher. Makes sense, right? We need to protect our quarterback and get some more pressure on the other team’s QB.
For the interior line, it seems like Teven Jenkins is in the last year of his contract. He’s been solid, when he’s not hurt, that is. But it seems like nobody can stay completely healthy these days. So, I guess we need to start thinking about a replacement or some depth at that position.
Then I started digging into names. I won’t bore you with all the details, but let’s just say I’ve got a spreadsheet going with potential picks, their college stats, and even some highlight reels. It’s become a bit of an obsession, if I’m being honest.
- Justin Melo’s 7-round mock draft was a real eye-opener.
- A to Z Sports’ AJ Schulte had a two-round mock that was also pretty interesting.
Some of the mock draft I have recorded:
I even started thinking about how these potential draft picks could help our current star, Caleb Williams. He’s shown some real potential this season, but imagine what he could do with a stronger offensive line and a defense that can get off the field quicker!
Anyway, that’s where I’m at with my mock draft madness. It’s been a fun, albeit time-consuming, project. But it’s all worth it if it helps my Bears get back to their glory days. And hey, who knows, maybe one of these mock drafts will actually nail it, and I can brag to all my friends about how I saw it coming all along!
I will continue to track the mock draft, and I will also make more predictions!
