So, I’ve been meaning to get back into shape, and I remembered those “barras sport” exercises I saw online. Figured I’d give it a shot and document my, uh, journey.

Day 1: What Did I Get Myself Into?
Okay, first step: I googled “barras sport” to see what popped up. Lots of ripped folks doing crazy pull-ups and stuff. I am not ripped. This might have been a mistake.
I found a beginner routine. It involved simple stuff, like regular push-ups, which I haven’t done…in a while. Let’s just say my arms were shaking after, like, five. Five! It’s pathetic, I know.
- Attempted push-ups: 5 (barely)
- Tried some squats: 10 (knees creaked)
- Looked at pull-up bar: Walked away slowly
Day 2: Small Victories (Maybe?)
Woke up sore. Everywhere. But hey, that means something’s happening, right? Maybe?
I decided to stick with the basics.
- Managed 7 push-ups! Progress!
- Did 12 squats. Knees still creaked, but less.
- Stared at the pull-up bar again. Still too intimidating.
I even tried some of those plank things. Held it for maybe 10 seconds before collapsing. It was not pretty.
Day 3: I Didn’t Die
Feeling slightly less like a broken human. Still sore, but in a “good” way (if that’s even a thing).

Repeated the Day 2 routine, and felt..okay.
- Push-ups: 8!
- Squats:15!
I even, and stay with me here, hung from the pull-up bar. Just hung there, like a sad, sweaty sack of potatoes. But hey, it’s a start, okay?
I realize that this “barras sport” thing,or basic fitness, is a long road. I am very much at the beginning. But, I did not fall, I could insist on exercising every day, so, small victories!
