So, I was looking into the Australian women’s beach volleyball team the other day. You know, just casually browsing, and I stumbled upon some interesting stuff. I started by reading up a bit on their recent games. It seems like they’ve been doing pretty well, especially this duo, Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar. These two, they’re a force to be reckoned with on the sand!
I dug a little deeper and found out they played in the Paris 2024 Olympics opener. Apparently, they had this intense match against China. I read that they won it in three sets. Man, that must’ve been a nail-biter! I even watched some highlights of it, and boy, were they good!
Then, I started looking at their Commonwealth Games record. They won the semi-final match, but the story says it was a close call against Vanuatu. I guess even the best have those shaky moments, huh? That advanced them to the finals, and guaranteed them a medal which is awesome! They were all in, trying to turn silver into gold, as I read somewhere.

It looks like they are aiming for gold in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. That’s some serious ambition right there. They’ve got a stellar record, and they’re not stopping anytime soon. Also learned that Taliqua Clancy represented Australia at the 2016 Summer Olympics. I guess she’s been at it for a while, honing her skills.
Honestly, I was just killing time, but I ended up learning a lot. These ladies are pretty inspiring, not gonna lie. Makes me want to hit the beach and play some volleyball myself, though I doubt I’d be anywhere near as good as them!
